Wedding Day!

On Saturday my sister Sarah got married!
Everything went so wonderful and we are so thankful we everyone who helped! Even if all you did was help us eat cookies, that's one less cookies we will have to eat!:)
It was great to see our old friends and make new friends!

Here is how yesterday played out for me:

5:30 - got up
6:00 - shower
6:30 start making muffins
7:00 tuned on Sovereign music and cleaned the kitchen/packed boxes to take to the church and got grandmother breakfast
7:30 - someone turned off our music and turned on the song Then and the song 1234! I went to clean my grandparents room
8:00 bring all the clothes/shoes/and boxes down to the door
8:30 did random stuff I don't remember!:)
9:30 William,Jenn,Molly and I left in our car. Sam,Molly and me were all cramped in the back with random stuff for the wedding. On the way there I slept, until Sam stabbed me with his elbow(not on purpose!)*I did have not a porpoise, because Sam was spell checking my post and thought that saying not a porpoise sounded better!* then I woke up and read my Bible.
10:45 - got to Church
11:00 - 1:55
ate muffins/got dress/got my hair done/makeup done/brushed my teeth/took LOTS of pictures/ helped unload our car and others.
1:55- all the bridesmaids left the our dressing room and started walking to the sanctuary.
2:00 - all lined up and ready to walk down!!
3:00 - wedding is over and we start pictures
3:45 - pictures are done and we start walking over to the fellowship hall.
5:00 Mr. and Mrs. Michael Garner left for their Honeymoon!
After they left I changed my clothes and everyone started cleaning up!
(Thanks for everyone who stayed and helped!!)
6:30 - we had just left the church and started on the way home
7:30 - got home and started making dinner. I was SO shaky!! All I had eaten was muffins and cookies!!

We went to bed around 12 and I got up this morning at 6:30, so I could help my Mom before Church.
We have bags of cookies left over and I am already sick of them!

Pictures will be coming in the next couple days! I am going to wait until until I can make a wed album, so I don't have to post over and over again.

Just think in in just four months we are going to have to do this all over again! This time with William!;)

*I am changing my blog layout soon, I am going for a pink layout because the picture I am going to use looks good with a pink background. What I need to know is which layout y'all like best. (I really like the first one, since it has my blog name!)
Leave me a comment!!

Two Days!!!:)

With only two days until the wedding we are very busy!
I was going to do a post yesterday, but it would have been a post about how hot our house was or how Molly got her finger stung by a wasp while opening the door or how Samuel lost a tooth.
Nothing has really happened today that I can post about so, I am really just posting to say I will not be posting until probably Monday or later!:)

Yesterday Sam,Matt, and I took pictures together!
After 30 pictures we finally got a good one!:)

Hope everyone has a great weekend I know we will!!!:)

Wedding Stuff!``

Who thought in December Sarah would be getting married in five short months and I would get a new brother! :) Although I am going to miss her SO much, I am happy she gets to start this new chapter in her life. With only 1 week until the wedding, we are very busy with things!

Today, since William is at NEXT, I have had to print the wedding programs! The top one is how they will look once we fold them.

So far we have made 150 bird seed things, to throw at Sarah &Mike.
* Before people throw the bird seed they will hopefully untie the ribbon and take off the rubber band, so that Sarah& Mike won't have bruises!:)*

Sarah made the ring pillow, with the help of Mrs. E.!
*Sarah's edit: I spray painted the basket. It felt weird to actually be doing something productive with spray paint. Its been a while since I spray painted graffiti around my house***
My mother decorated the flower girl basket!
.

Today I also put all the Ginger ale and White Grade Juice in the fridge. I thing we have 18 Ginger ale and 16 White Grade Juice.
(Not all of the drinks are pictured.)

This week should be interesting for our truck is not working and we found out Friday our septic tank has to be replaced, so we are only allowed to take showers once a week. Ha! Just kidding!;) We can take shower's everyday as long as they not any longer than 5 min.

Love,
Anna :)

Our Farm Life!

In the year of 1997 our family moved from the city to the country. About two years after moving to the country we started “Chicken Little Farm.” We had gone from buying all of our groceries at local stores to the raising and eating of our own chickens, eggs, geese, guinea hens beef, turkeys, ducks, rabbits, milk, homemade whole wheat bead, Honey and veggies and fruits from our garden.

We made farm brochures and mailed them out to families we knew that might want a healthier way to eating. We also started farm days in June and December to give families the chance to visit the farm, pick up their orders and enjoy our beautiful land. At night our family would sit in the den and read How to books about farming and animals!:)

Although I was only six at the time,I still had jobs to do on the farm. A normal day for me was waking up at 6:00 am and starting school. Then I would go outside and feed and give water to the rabbits and cats. Then I would hold my 4-H chickens and make sure they had water and food. Next I would check for eggs and hold the cows tail as Sarah milked the cow. Lastly, I would head home to eat breakfast. After breakfast I would finish the rest of my school. I would finish school at lunch time, so after eating lunch I would go outside until dinner. After dinner I would go back out to the barn, check for eggs again and hold the cow's tail while Sarah milked it again. We all learned how to milk the cow, but Sarah was the quickest!

*just I little note if you have read the Freddy the pig books, we named all our animals after the animals in the books. Our dairy cow was named Mrs. Wiggins!!:)*

In the summer and fall we would raised around 400 white broiler chickens. We build pens to hold them in and everyday we would move them around the field, feeding them for eight weeks until they weigh between 3.5-6 pounds. The chickens would feed of the grass, but also on the special blend feed that we had ground at a local mill. We also had around 30 Rhode Island Red chickens for eggs.

Turkeys are a pain!!! I would never ever ever get Turkeys again!! I don't even want to talk about then!

Our Beef cows were a really sad project! We had two twin Hereford steers that were only two weeks away from bring processed, when suddenly one of the cows got bloated and died! Well a few days latter his brother also died from a broken heart!:) (We don't really know why he died, so we say it was from a broken heart!) After this we never tried to raise beef cows again! We also had a brown Dariy cow.

Our ducks were a mix of Mallard and Blue and Black Swedish. Our rabbits were a mix of New Zealand and Californian mix. We never ate my rabbits, I would not let my family! I was not any older then ten and really loved my rabbits. At one time I have 26 rabbits! That's a lot of rabbits!!!

I would never recommend extracting honey and jarring it in your house!!It's a bad idea, trust me! We had two kinds of honey ; sour wood and clover, which we got from our 6 bee hives. Now whenever I eat honey I think it taste like bees, that does not mean I don't like it, I just think it tast like bees!:)

Around the year 2002 we stopped our farm. My mother became pregnant with Matthew and my brothers both started basketball. We sold or ate most of the animals left.

I loved the farm and the animals. Looking back at it now I am so happy I got to spend some of my life taking care of animals and learning about them. I also glad I learned how to work hard and get dirty!!!:)

Tuesday, May 19,09

I am fighting either a cold or allergies, and my voice does not sound like me. I have been told it sounds like someone who is on vocal rest or someone who is very upset and crying!:)

Anyway, Sam T. came over to mow our field and them power washed our house today. Matthew and Sam really wanted to ride on the lawn mower, so when he was making his way back up from the field the 3 of us went to meet him.
Here are some pictures:

Sam showing Sam how to work it.

He was so happy he got to drive it all by himself!

Anyway here are a few pictures!
